Having the Roadmap

Having the Roadmap

There are certain things I do that are probably considered “weird”. When you drive to and from work, do you type in the address on the GPS? My co-worker makes fun of me because I do this. I get in my car, my phone connects to CarPlay, and I cue up navigation to my workplace. He wonders why I would do this when I know how to get to work and to get home. The point of having navigation up is that it informs me about which route I need to take so I don’t get caught in traffic. It helps having a roadmap to know which way to go and what obstacles to avoid.

The same goes for walking through things in life. We live in a day and age where we have so much information available to us: books, videos, podcasts, whatever else. People have shared their roadmaps, their journeys, all their insights to do what they do and avoid the pitfalls they fell into. By taking time to learn from others’ journeys, we can push ahead in our own.

The $100M Scaling Roadmap

Alex Hormozi has been an incredible resource for business knowledge. I believe I’ve shared this before, but Hormozi started documenting his journey to become a billionaire because he wished that the billionaires before him had done it. We’ve seen the fruits of those successful individuals, but not the roadmap to their success. Enter Alex as he explains his processes and insights for every stage.

In this video, he lays out the entire path for growing a business. All the way from “you don’t exist” to being the Chairman of a 500 person company. It’s so cool to walk through this and this video is just the overview. There’s a video for every single stage that goes more in depth.

Each stage is outlined with clear definition of what characteristic puts you in that stage, what constraints you encounter and even what needs to be done to “graduate” from that stage. If you’re at all interested in the business world, I recommend watching this video. And even if you’re not into business, there are lessons that can be pulled from everything. Maybe there’s ways you can scale your personal operations at work by applying some of the information shared in this video.

Below I’ve also linked to some other videos that have been super insightful for building business and having a roadmap. Watch Me Fix a Stranger's Business in 42 Mins is a great case study where Alex helps a business move to the next step as they solve the issues they face. I felt that video in particular to be really cool. It’s like you’re sitting in on a business consultation. I believe I actually came to find the $100M Scaling Roadmap video after this one.
